Has anyone within the kingston communications area swapped from KC to the sky package,if so how did you find the changeover and performance since?

You can get sky broadband in hull now? Or you on about the surrounding areas

Last time I checked, you can't get any other landline broadband in Hull.

I'm in Hedon which is part of the original KC network,i spoke to sky yesterday and they're adamant they can do it and the girl even went away and double checked. I've agreed to try it with a 31 day cancellation option so we'll see what happens now. They're sending a router out and have made an appointment for an engineer to come and reposition the phone line all free of charge so nothing to lose really. The full package is £19.99 for 6 months rising to £26 a month after that. Unlimited downloads and phone calls with inclusive international numbers.

It's always annoyed me that as I have the full sky package I'm entitled to unlimited free broadband and phone, which could save me £40 p/m. But thanks to the Monopoly KC has I can't. May have to ring them given this.

I spoke to sky only last week about reducing my package, I got the usual sales patter " why don't you take out one of our broadband packages" I then said " I live in Hull" to which he replied " oh you can't then ". So I would be interested if this was possible

You can get a KC BUNDLE free internet all 01/02 numbers after 1800 free talk as long has you like, so many mobile numbers after 1900 on a weekend and your local call free. If you ring KC they will give you a price.Our monthly bill is £29- 99 The wife ring friends in Bradford on a night and they talk for over 3 hours with no extra cost

You only get 33 gb of data and with 5 people and probably 10 items to access the Internet that isn't enough data, as we found out. So we are now paying £37 a month which is a lot more than sky would be

Does that include Sky TV, and line rental?

You do realise that that is an absolutely awful deal, don't you? Compared to everywhere else in the country, where you could be getting some kind of television package thrown in with a lot higher broadband speeds and download allowances.

KC is an absolute rip off. I absolutely detest their monopoly on this area.
