I never doubted

I have to admit I was beginning to have doubts, particularly the experiment of Sammut at fullback. What do I know? It seems to be working, so well done to him and the team.
I never doubted that 'on paper' we were better than some of the results we have endured!

No doubt a few on here will be devastated that we've won again tonight,Nothing to moan about.

Knee jerk reactions when we lose a few games, why not when we win a few ?

I'm delighted for RA....naturally....being one of the very, very few who really stuck up for him....

I'm also delighted for one or two players aswell.....players who the coach stuck by despite huge criticism..... stuck by and supported them like all us fans should have done in such a crucial season...they are the ones wearing the shirt after all....

Washbrook at Hull....and tonight two others who have had no end of stick these last few months.....Siejka....who was always going to take time to bed in.....scored the crucial try to halt the 18 unanswered Widnes points and get us back in the game.....and then Sykes.....coming up with the winning try after fluffing a DG chance.....

Couldnt be happier for those lads tonight!

Personally I think it;s shocking that a coach should have the courage of his convictions, stick with his team selection that HE felt was right and not pander to the demands and rantings of some (unqualified) fans on here!

I expect the usual suspects will transfer their posts to the Widnes forum castigating their players for losing to an Agar coached team. I suppose if they try hard enough they will find something or someone negative to post about.

Patience is a virtue.

I'm a big believer in not having knee jerk reactions and having patience. I've said before that I haven't seen Rich's coaching up close to really assess his abilities. (In fairness the majority don't know either) He's a nice guy and I want him to do well. Today's win doesn't make him Wayne Bennett and he will still make mistakes. But today is great for him as he and the team have achieved vital back to back wins. This alone gets my appreciation tonight. The job is far from done but today was a huge leap for everyone Wakefield Wildcats.

Rich hasnt had the easiest of times here as a coach and has had plenty of off field problems to contend with. He's had a rough time with critics and had some tough calls to make. Some arguably wrong and others spot on.

Well done Richard Agar. I'm not complaining about some of the criticism levelled at him but tonight he deserves a well done as do the players! Keep it up, you've come through a rough spell and deserve the wraps) There will be others but hopefully the camaraderie that is building down at Belle Vue will see you through.

It's easy to be ecstatic when we win, but when we go through bad times as we will again, lets try and unite as much as we can. We all want the same thing deep down even if some are more empathetic than others..

Sounds like Dan Smith had a mare - we don't have much luck with players called Smith do we? Typical Agar, and his obsession with people called Smith - he'll be the downfall of this club etc etc
