Just wonder what kind of reception your gonna give our in form obst... Brilliant servant for your club, is he gonna get standing applause or are the judas chants gonna be ringing out at the KC tomorrow?

From me he will gat applause and i would imagine it will be the same from the rest of the Wakey fans.

I'm really not sure. In my mind he left us during our darkest hour .... but, he gave us some good service.

I do know I wont enjoy seeing him in a Hull FC shirt.

Polite applause and nothing more. I cringe when former players get the hero worship chants while those still in the shirts get abuse.

From what I know he didn't leave he was shipped out by Mr O'hara. Not saying he was unhappy with his new club but he certainly didn't have much choice. As an older player with a wife etc he couldn't be expected to give us the same loyalty as Smurph IMHO.

I think if administration hadn't have come, he wouldn't have gone. You react differently when your bosses have got no money whatsoever and your future is unknown.

Agree - I think Sam will get a good round of applause from us. He didnt want to leave but the administrators chose to let him go. Sam was more than happy at BV and like previous post - if given the choice he would have stayed.......

however.......

Same from me. He gave us his all while here. That deserves respect IMO

Each to their own, regardless of how he left his conduct during his time at the club deserves nothing short of respect. He might get a few pantomime boo's, but mostly he will get a round of applause with some chants. I wouldn't begrudge him that.

I don't begrudge Sam going to another club during a very uncertain period. I'd have done the same to safeguard my future. I don't believe for a second either that the decision was 100% his own.

From what I recall he made a statment shortly afterwards stating it all happened so fast and at the end of the day you have to look after yourself really.

Thats true and I dont begrudge him. Whatever the reasons for leaving he was a good player for Trin who always gave 100% every time I saw him and often was the strongest tackler on the park and stopped opposition better tahn our forwards sometimes.

I too wont like seeing him in a Hull shirt but will applaud him for his time at Trin. Anything else lacks class IMO
