Anyone else got this game? Thoughts?

IMO it is a decent step up from RL2 but there are still way too many cringe moments.

For example, Pat Richards being number 1 and having a blonde receading hair stlye? Also Phelps in the reserves and when when brought on and put at fullback it says hes out of position - but thanks to the team editor these problems have been resolved

It's almost as though the creators couldn't give a crap about Super League what so ever, i mean Amos Roberts (although immense on the game) looks like Kyle Eastmond! Furthermore, other than fielden and paleaaesina, all the other props on the Wigan side are ALL rated 61-63 (which is low).

Despite all of this, the game is enjoyable simply because it is rugby league. OH! Anyone else attempted to play it without the game cube controller?.... because it's ridiculous

Can you use a game controller for any Wii game? I bought F1 2009 when it came out and can't stand it 'cos it's bloody impossible. Also why I've stayed away from RL3 thus far. Might have to give it a try now I know you can use a GC controller with it.

If you buy it from game you can get the game cube controller for half price, a fiver. I would HIGHLY reccomend getting the cube controller.

I've had the game for well over a month now, and agree, its an average game and they couldn't give two about the SL!
The thing is, wigan have last seasons starting team out, but still Glesson is in the reserves :O
I've not tried with the GC controller yet but will do soon, but i've pretty much adapted to the wii controls, even if there rubbish

No, but a lot of games support it. You can find out the control schemes available for each game by checking the back of the DVD case the game came in, they list the icons for all the controllers you can use in the top right corner.

Gonna buy it this week, but it should be fine with the Wii remote & chuck. They work fine on fifa etc.

get a game cube controller its useless without one, i got one from gamestation for 6 quid
