I’ve been really impressed with the start he has made. If you consider how long it took M. Monas and King to settle, he’s doing remarkably well so early in his SL days. He is our top tackler so far, and after a few mistakes in his first game his error count is down to zero. If he improves as much as the last two imports did/have then he will be a truly frightening player. I think most of us were probably expecting a little more in terms of big plays from him, more plays like the one that set up Atkins on Sunday for our first try.

Solid and steady, reliable and consistent so far for me, but think that a stand out performance may be just around the corner.

I've been pleased with him, but he hasn't really wowed me the way I thought he would. He's a huge fella, so I was expecting him to dominate sides but they seem to be handling him quite well from what I've seen of us this season (admittedly not every game so I'm open to being proven wrong), maybe when it's a little dryer and we pick up the speed of our play, we'll see him begin to get opposing players 1v1 and get away some good offloads. I'd say he's been solid, very industrious but I'm hoping to see a bit more class.

It's his defence that has impressed me more so far, he's working hard at marker, his tackling overall is strong plus he's only missed 3% of his tackles.

I'm sure he'll be used even more on attack as the season progresses, he's still 4th on the top offloads even in the mostly wet weather we've had. Along with Atkins and Riley that left edge is doing great these days.

Impressed me so far especially in defence and has got away some good offloads in attack. He doesn't take the ball in as hard as Louis did but he just seems to find gaps in the defence might be helped by having a dangerous centre outside of him aswell in Atkins.

I can't understand the under-appreciation of Trent. I think he's been fantastic. He's not just a rock defensively as some people are giving him credit for - he's a real handful ball in hand. I think he played a major part in Atkins great form in the first few games and indeed created another try for him v Wakefield. He either gets the ball away in the tackle or takes 3 or 4 defenders to wrap him up which then helps disrupt / slow the defenders to create space for others to exploit.

He is our top tackler and 4th top offloader in SL.

Got to agree with everything you've said mate, just imagine once he's settled in Trent and Super Ben putting in 80mins like that week after week!!!!

I'm a little underwhelmed with him so far, ball in hand, BUT, as a unit, we're nowhere near our form of last year, YET.

When he's played 3-4 months, the pitches will have firmed up, and he's learned how to play with Briers, Myler and Atkins, THEN we can judge. If he gets it right, he'll be DEVASTATING. Watch out SL.
