you have every right to be cynical CMR and it would have been simpler for OE to stay but I think we can take positives from signing an OAP,for example, he'll be entitiled to a free bus pass so that will save the club a few quid.
he is still a good player and I know at least one of the Bulls players is 'very surprised' he hasn't been retained and he WILL inspire the younger lads - I think it's a clever move

He's an excellent player and a worthy replacement for OE. That said, how many etranger back row players do we need, in a squad brimming with French back rowers?
And, what CMR said. Had he come in to replace Carlaw and partner OE I would have been extatic.

I think Dane has been very consistent when he's played - I don't feel he deserves any criticism

Oh, no, Dane is good, not as good as Menzies though, or OE - though his skills as a winger are unsurpassed (why Walters persisted in playing him out of position...).

according to Dane his preferred position is in the second row - he's an honest player who will always earn his money wherever he's asked to play - a good professional who deserves the respect of the fans - however KW was ever able to judge any players performance from his vantage point behind the goal area will continue to baffle me...
