He's another (Joe Burgess) who looks absolutely class at club level, but he plays for a team that dominates pretty much every single game. Not saying he's poor because he's not but he's not as good as Briscoe is. Used to make me laugh when fans from all clubs used to say Charnley was better than Briscoe. Not a chance.
They play for Wigan who are fantastic but none of them are 'that good' imo.

they're ok, but give away too many penalties, especially Farrell. you get away with it at club level but you pay for it at top international level more often than not.

think the English game is missing big back rowers, all our big lads are plonked straight in at prop from a young age, which showed by how good our front rowers were on Sunday.

credit where it's due I thought Ferres had a good game but Farrell and Bateman (is he still a back rower most of the time?) were bullied by a bigger NZ. Bateman tried to run through their number 4 early on like he did against France and just got sat down every time.
