A great talisman for his club? Yes.

A great player? Not quite.

Certainly shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Edwards, Cunningham and Sinfield, nor even Long.

If it means we don't get players like Blake Green i'll take back everything i've said about Horne... Still think he needs a massive pay cut but the grass in always greener (pardon the pun) on the other side.. ie. getting rid!!

Horne is one the clubs "golden boys" despite the fact he never fulfilled his potential.

Obviously the female fans all have a soft spot for Horne, then theres the fans who like him just because he is local and then you have the "know nothing about RL" brigade who still rate him. Tends to suggest to me we will be stuck with him for the foreseeable future.

Never being a big fan of him , I thank him for his effort and his commitment but at the end of the day he is just not good enough to be at a top club. If we really want to be a top club then we must look elsewhere. As always I'd love him to prove me wrong.

Horne played well yesterday and on the whole has done well this season.

Horne has improved constantly, after his horror time..! His Greatest moment was wen he picked himself up, dusted himself down, After that crunching tackle..! In front of the faithful at wembley...!

Think back 2 how he was before his injury and illness? He was playing out of his skin, one of our young ones that had come through the ranks, that we was so proud of..! He's still young and slowly getting back 2 his best..! He has had no constant parter in the halfs for the last 3 seasons..! That's the reason he's been not playing 2 full potential...!

Still doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Edwards, Cunningham and Sinfield, as per the OP.

We won a few games.

Earnt a new one year deal IMO.

Stayed fit, played well getting better each game in the last few weeks.

I'd offer him a 2 or 3 year deal on a much reduced wage, possibly incentive based (appearances), with a view to him becoming involved in the coaching of the U18's/20's during that time. Make it worth him staying but being realistic on his value. He should definitely have had his last big contract at the club and should ideally only be back up for a new 1st choice stand off.

If he can get a decent deal elsewhere then let him go
