Shifty :alegend:A 5 year injury problems, keep well clear ,We should have learnt our lesson with Trueman Where do you get a 5 years injury problem from bud? He's averaged over 20 games a year between the NRL and NSW/Q Cup since he made the NRL in 2021, which for his age and position is pretty solid imo especially when you consider who he's behind in that Broncos front row - Payne Haas , Pat Carrigan and Jordan Riki. The only bad injury to my knowledge, that kept him out was when he suffered an MCL injury, which kept him out for about 8 weeks, but he still managed to play in 18 games. That's the only real injury I can remember him having, or can find info on, keeping him out for any time. He played 16 NRL games in 2021 and 4 NWS Cup. He played 14 NRL games in 2022 and 6 NSW Cup. He played 16 NRL games inb 2023 and 9 NSW Cup He played 12 NRL games in 2024 and 8 Q Cup. He played 2 NRL games this year before Maguire sent him down to Q Cup because he promoted potential star Ben Te Kura, who's an absolute beast for a 21-year-old, the tallest player in the NRL at 6ft 9 and weighs probably 125kg. From what I've heard watching the NRL, he's out of contract at the Broncos this year and has already expressed his desire to move back to Sydney, and Michael Maguire wants to make room on the cap, so he wants to let him move on. He's a good player and exactly the right age, 25, which fits with what we're doing. I think he'll get another contract in the NRL, but I would be very happy if he landed at Trinity. Sorry Forum got the Guy ,The one I was on about is 28 year old .Shifty agree this guy ticks all the boxes Sorry

| You are kidding. Trueman when fit is England class. Only Brough was at that level and he had other issues that cost him. Rooney and Jeffries were both great players and too of my favourites but Trueman has skills they do not have.

| Trueman is a class player. I really hope for himself and the team he can actually get a consecutive run of games as he is a player to genuinely build a team round. I’ve not seen a 6 as good as him in my time of watching Trinity, he is an absolute class act.
He literally amplifies the spine around him to play better. With him off the pitch against Kr, we never looked like scoring.

A) Trueman wasn’t signed “halfway” last season, he was signed towards the end and if you think he was going to contribute for one game then you’re living in cuckoo land.
B) Last year is incomparable to this. Rodwell and Doyle might not be on as much as Trueman individually but they did both sign new long term and improved deals.
C) when Trueman has been on the field he’s certainly helped max and mason look a lot better, and set up some nice tries for TJ.
I honestly don’t recall Gaskell getting this amount of heat and that guy was actually useless to say he was our main playmaker.
Agree about Gaskell he was way past is best and we still had fans defending him , This is the problem with Trueman was very good when he was 18 at Cas, but bad injuries have caught up with him ,and he is not the player he was.If he was that good why did Hull let him go with one year of is contract left .Hull fans were saying they were glad to see the back of him, always out injured and one good game in every 10 Trueman played 11 games in is last season at Hull .When you think about some of the halves we have had at Wakefield over the years Miller ,Roony Jeffries Brough he is no were near there class, and would say that Dagger who played at 6 when we got relegated was better .The reason why Lino looks better when Trueman plays is that Lino can just organise his side of the field and not run all over the field like he had to do in the second half against HKR If Russell plays on Saturday we will have a half who can do the basics right, and take pressure of Lino and have Max at fullback were he should be Trueman is better than three of those you mention. You can clearly see the difference he brings to the team when he plays, and your fav Lino plays much better when he's has Trueman in the halves with him. Hull let him go because of his injury record, not because of his ability, which to me isn't in doubt. His robustness is, some people just seem to suffer more than others in what is a brutal game. His susceptibility to injury is a concern, and something the club will no doubt be aware of.

| Agree about Truman. Hes the best 6 we have had in a very long time. Fans need to get off his back and be sensible.
If he had put some more games together I have no doubt he’d be in the ashes squad.
Looking forward to seeing him continue his good form after the concussion. Hopefully only misses a week.

His susceptibility to injury is a concern, and something the club will no doubt be aware of. Part of his susceptibility to injury is that he is tough in defense and gets stuck in. I'd rather have that than someone who doesn't risk injury and just waves them through. The injury he has is an impact injury that has nothing to do with him. Tom had a long time out with concussion. Needs managing and there are rules that force us to do so.
