| On converting one of the current guys to 13, even though I'd be a bit hesitant about moving 2 of our best props, I've always thought Rodwell would make a good 13, I know he's played there and done well, so not much of a change. I also think Stourton plays very similar to Pitts, the same hard-working, hard-tackling, always plays-at-a-high standard kind of player. It's hard to move your best players into other positions or bring someone in. As said it depends on who's out there
As for backrowers, I don't think we're exactly desperate for anyone, we've got 9 guys who can play there atm but I think a lot will depend on how Croft develops this year. We have Big Mike who plays there when needed, Vagana who's starting to show how good he's gonna be, Seth, Stourton & Griff. We then have guys like Cam Scott and Hall who can play there like Croft, Cam especially is a good back-rower, plus also young Stavely-Carr coming through. If Griff does go at the end of the season & we do need another who's a similar quality to the main 3, that's where either Croft comes in, or we look for someone else, we'll see. The other thing looking to next season is quota spots, to get Smoothy in. We're going to have to move someone on, the obvious one is Walmsley imo. So a decent wing option is someone we may be looking out for. Saying all that I know DP rates Jayden Myers very highly and he'll be another year older, so maybe that's how they're thinking.

| Interesting because Jayden sees himself as a Centre and that’s where he wants to play. Hes happy to play anywhere but in the long term he wants to establish himself at Centre

| Trojan Horse: Another good run out for Atoni today. A few more like than and I’ll be happy to see him remain.
I'm sure he'll try and persevere until you catch up with the rest of the fanbase.

| The Avenger: Shifty Cat: Not a rumour, and I decided not to start a new thread for it but news - Neil Tchamambe has signed a two-year contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2027 season.
So along with Jayden Myers, that's 2 young wingers we've got signed up for the next few years. You get a feeling and it's just that, it may be Walmsley's last year, especially as we need quota space next season for Smoothy. As much as I like Walmsley and he always gives 100%, he does seem to be the obvious guy to make way. Saying that he'll have no problems getting another contract if we do decide to not renew, either at another SL club or more likely one of the top Champ clubs.
Jayden Myers is a Centre, played 45 games with only 16 of those being as a winger and they were fairly early on in his 1st grade appearances.
Your point is still a good one though, we have Myers at 21 Pratt at 20 Tchamambe at 19 Hall at 22 Scott is 25
I would like to see Roarke added to that list who can cover the full back line. I’m sure there’s an option for club to extend for 2026. The back line honestly doesn’t need much investment for next season. Seems we will be in the market for a few forwards more than anything.

I’m not easy to please icon_smile.gif (I can’t see any emojis still) There’s others who share the same opinion as me, I don’t need validation though so I’m just happy to keep forming my opinion dependant on how he goes this early part of the season. I really hope he continues with this form as it will make recruitment options easier for next season the more of our current players step up.
