Quote kinleycat="kinleycat"excuse my mathematical ignorance! Isn't that more than 10%, at a time when people are taking pay cuts, redundancies etc.
I appreciate we need to make money, but I think a lot more people could be priced out this season on top of a 13.3% drop last year!!'"
It is an encouragement to those who may think about buying a season ticket.
To increase the value in the season ticket you either have to reduce the price of the season ticket OR increase the gate price. The result either way is an increase in the differential between the 2.
As stated elsewhere in the thread, you can avoid the increase simply by buying a ticket in advance. It costs no more if you buy from the shop and, hopefully, it will encourage more away supporters to buy in advance rather than deciding on the day.
It's a toughy, and the headlines will be grabbed by the £20 header, but there's no need for anyone to lose out at all - after all, we've got used to buying tickets for other away games such as the Goatfarm!
