I thought it would be interesting to see what team us fans would select for the 4 nations. I'll set up a poll for each position, I will only include those players who have been playing in that position for their clubs and are have officially declared themselves eligible for England (not the Morris twins for example). I won't include players who have suffered season ending injuries. I will also try and include a larger selection of players, some stand a better chance than others. If you think I've missed anyone let me know and I'll add them if I can (I've never tried editing a poll)

Lomax.

Lomax for me too, despite Shaul's excellent year, he doesn't have the all round game yet.

Widdop should really be an option. I would be tempted to go Widdop at FB and Gale and Hodgson in the halves with Roby or Houghton at 9.

anyway, with the options given i would go either Lomax or Tomkins.

So you want a NRL half to play fullback, and a hooker at stand off? Give over.....

Gale 7, Williams 6, Hodgson and Clark/Houghton at 9, and Lomax at 1.

Tomkins and Widdop should not be anywhere near the squad imo.

Could even bring Houghton and Clark as 9 and put Hodgson at 13.

Widdop used to play full back for the Storm and did it well. He is more than solid there and would provide a good creative link option. Hodgson has also filled in well at half this year in a side challenging for the NRL premiership. It would also allow us to utilise another of our other quality 9's and solidify our defence. Williams will be good no doubt, but is still not ready imo for international football against the best.

The reason I didn't include Widdop is he is a half for his club. Things could get very complicated, I could include Ratchford in the centres and the halves, Sam Burgess in a number of positions that a simple poll can't cope with. That's why players are included only in the position they have been playing for their club

While I'm on the subject has Hardaker been playing Wing or Centre?

I'd love to know who picked Connor and Sutcliffe - JC, was that you?

Not saying he deserves it after the season he's had, but how can you have a poll without including the current England fullback? Until told otherwise the incumbent fullback is Hardaker and I'd be surprised if he's not considered.

Hardaker has been filling in anywhere he is needed in the back line. he played his last game for Penrith in the play offs at centre. He would make good cover back for the squad imo.

Because he has been playing wing/centre for Penrith. He also IIRC only played a few games at FB for Leeds then was dropped then shifted to the wing (apologies if I don't recall correctly)
