Takes him through to the next World Cup. If he was for arguments sake thinking of RU after that then he'll be 31 at the time and at least we and the sport will have gotten his best years out of him.

think he would have gone to union already if he wanted to, hopefully the top draw players in our game or have realized that union is simply not worth the extra money, and that being a legend in your own game is more important. union ruins players.

Sinfield went at 35 so not too late. Might see it as a nice challenge and big money earner to finish his career off.
Just speculating, he may have no interest in RU. I would've thought though that Leeds would've gladly signed him up to a new 3/4 possibly 5 year deal if they could have instead of just the extra 2. |

He's got another deal in him all the other recently retired players signed new deals when they were 32ish ,but Credit to the club for making him Captain too . I thought he seemed too reticent in speaking ,bit shy ,I was wrong .Excellent choice for capt . I expect a few more announcements coming a few older players are coming off and they cant afford to let them all go at once . I think Cuthbertson will get at least one year
