Castleford's 5 fewer errors and 42 fewer tackles (drop outs 6-1 in their favour, although Sinfield negated one of those) probably proved the difference in the conditions as Leeds marginally came out on top in the penalty count.

Where do you get these stats from tvoc? Very interesting stuff.

And not even 1st choice with everyone fit!!

The official SL website updates the figures after each regular round fixture and I just transfer the data onto a spreadsheet that does the rest, resulting in new data for the last game. I then cherry pick what I see as the most relevant categories and stick them on here.

Once the spreadsheet is set up at the start of the season it takes about half an hour each week to maintain it. I find it beats getting a life.

The thing is tvoc we love reading your excellent stats (your own and OPTA's in your format) because we don't have a life either. What would we do without you?

As I aluded to earlier, that stats back it up - great pack leading by Ryan Bailey.

And some fools were suggesting, our longest serving prop, wouldn't make our first choice 17.

I'm sure you'd think of something. Probably reading more planning applications in your case.



Just as a footnote, Friday was the first time Leeds have lost a home match after leading at half time under coach McClennan.

The last time that happened was 38 (home) fixtures ago V Wakefield (20th July 2007) under Tony Smith.

Good stint that, 41 tackles and no misses is excellent - respect. Same goes for Sinfield.

Interesting how stats were irrelevant last year whenever they reflected poorly on our Ryan, now they're proof of performance . . .
